You've done a good job of building out the number of elements in this asset especially with the nightly updates.  However, I'm having difficulties cutting elements from the PNG or using an application like Tiled Map Editor because there does not appear be a standard alignment for sprites in the image sets bound by the black borders.  Any plans to reorganize into files and realign the images?

Sure i can tackle that issue for v1.61 :) thanks for the compliment btw!

If I could I can give you 5 stars for every update. ๐Ÿ‘Œ ๐Ÿ˜€ Dou you a have plan for some ice or winter? I mean another asset, not a dungeon, of course. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I think the closest thing in that realm would be a winter version of the forest asset pack already available? Which i actually have considered! Its just im trying to be more consistent with the Dungeon pack rn in terms of updates, thanks for your interest as always though Crazy Mage :)

Very thanks

I don't have use for this asset right now, but I admire your work and I love it. ๐Ÿ˜ Excellent work. Good luck with another updates, because it's really awesome what have you done so far. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you!

No need to thanks, I thank you for your work. :-) I'll planing using your asset in my next work, when I finished what I'm working right now. Are you have plans for another assets? I mean 16x16px or 32x32px. I mean bigger detailed animated sprites. I usually work with this resolution of sprites. I just ask, this is not a request.

My current plan is to flesh out this project before moving onto newer ones, most of the sprites im working with are 8x8 or 16x16 with the exception of big furniture or decorations, hope that answers your question.

I'm sorry to disturb, but could you please move the tiles a bit, because it is hard to import them.

Edit:
I've tried to add atlas padding, but it still doesn't work.

Do they all need to be moved a bit, or just that tileset specifically? If so by how much?

The main tiles should be moved 2 pixels down.

The character animations are fine.

If you draw in aseprite, you can turn on the grid to check that every tile is inside a cell.

Thanks.

Also, I recommend moving some tiles to aling with the grid, to make game dev easier. An example is here (Roofs and the campfire can be moved by 6 pixels to the left):

Allrighty i fixed the example you showed, as well as altered the canvas size so its all lined up on the 8 x 8 grid, download version 1.25B and see if that fixes it. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Thank you so much!

Everything works now

It is a bit inconsistent. CC0 means public domain (do whatever you even just sell) and you write CC0 and then write "You may not Sell these assets, be it as they are or altered." so it is not CC0

Ack, sorry, which version should i change it to to be more consistent? Thanks for letting me know btw :)

Edit: Just to be clear im fine with people doing whatever they want with it besides reselling the assets themselves, altered or not. Making and earning $ from games made with the assets is A - Okay.

I think not one of CC licenses can fit it. All CC licenses are designed to share (without restricting how it is shared and wish whom). There are exist -NC versions but they restrict all commercial usage even in a commercial game. You can use your "custom license". Just a list of "you can and you can't", but it is not CC0 that way and the same goes for OGA (Open Game Art) they collect art only if is "free cultural"

One more thing. What do you think about the situation when your art is taken by someone, remade and than distributes?

Anyway CC0 is the most permissive thing. It just literally says: "I love you so much that I give a right to do with whatever you want without any restrictions"

Id say at the end of the day this pack is for making a game, if it needs to be altered to fit the game being made, thats great, but if its being redistributed ( edited or not ) in isolation then at that point it feels like less about making a game and more so about just trying to garner attention off someone elses work, and thats no fun.

(-1)

So if it is your opinion... I understand what you mean but in this case just use your custom license instead of saying it is CC0 because CC0 is about free cultural works, just as like about FLOSS software. Did you heard about it?

Oh, and on OGA people expect CC0 means CC0 so... I've already made a comment there with link to this conversation...

Yup! Ive commented over there as well to help clear that mistake up, thanks for letting me know!

Thank you so much for the best dungeon tile set I've ever seen for free! I'll try to donate you some from a I'll make with it.

First off thank you so much! Second off, beyond donations, rating this asset pack and sharing it with people who you think will get value out of it helps me out the most. :)

They read really well for being so tiny. Good job!
